The 20th anniversary of the Printemps Musical des Alizés is being celebrated in Essaouira. The 20th edition of the Printemps Musical des Alizés Festival will take place in Essaouira from April 18 to 21, 2024.
This special edition will pay tribute to the 20-year history of the festival by highlighting renowned artists who have graced its stage in previous years. . Each concert will delve into a theme explored in previous editions, creating a nostalgic and festive atmosphere. To commemorate its 20th anniversary, the Printemps des Alizés makes a triumphant return to Essaouira after 5 years of absence.

This highly anticipated edition will also mark the exciting new partnership between the Essaouira Mogador Association and the Ténor Foundation for Culture, who are co-producing the event. Artistic director Dina Bensaïd has imagined a program that pays homage to the rich history of the festival by inviting renowned artists from past editions.
Each concert, as usual, will begin with informative introductions to ensure an inclusive experience and delve deeper into themes that have resonated throughout the festival's two decades. In the realm of family melodies, Réda and Hasnaa Bennani will poignantly recall the exploration of music as a family during the 2013 edition.
The Zaïde Quartet will take us back to the Viennese school of the 2016 festival. Déborah Nemtanu, accompanied by the Moroccan Philharmonic Orchestra, will revisit the invitation to a musical journey in 2017, delighting the public with two concerts inspired by tales and legends. The 2018 edition, centered around the theme of the Passion, will be illustrated by an afternoon dedicated to Brahms, featuring the talents of Thomas Lefort on the violin and Dina Bensaïd on the piano. On the program, the Young Talents Morning, with the participation of young people from the Mazaya socio-cultural program.
Participants will also be able to enjoy musical walks in the medina and an electrifying closing concert dedicated to the captivating rhythms of tango. On the occasion of this significant event, the Festival, supported by the Essaouira Mogador Association and the Ténor Foundation for Culture, renews its commitment by presenting 12 free concerts open to all. Born from a passion for fostering musical brilliance and providing a platform for budding talents, the Printemps des Alizés has become a prestigious gathering, captivating lovers of classical music and lyrical art, while attracting renowned artists from the whole world.
